Organic, Gluten-Free & Seed-Oil-Free Italian Food in Ashland

Lumina cooks Italian food on the Ashland Plaza with organic, local ingredients wherever possible, and only avocado oil and extra-virgin olive oil, never seed oils. Many of our dishes are gluten-free or vegan, and each one is marked on our menus.

Organic and local wherever possible

We buy organic and local ingredients wherever we can, from the vegetables in our frittatas and on the grill to the wine list, which includes an organic Pinot Grigio, Primitivo and Lambrusco. Cappuccinos and lattes are made with A2 milk.

Cooked without seed oils

Our kitchen cooks only with avocado oil and extra-virgin olive oil. That means no canola, soybean, sunflower or other seed oils in anything we make.

Gluten-free dishes

Dishes marked GF on our current menus: at breakfast, the caprese cake, biscotti, the sausage, zucchini, asparagus and fontina frittata, the asparagus, spinach, zucchini and parmesan frittata, and crispy polenta; at lunch and dinner, the baked gnocchi, crispy polenta, grilled asparagus, grilled zucchini and grilled portobello mushrooms.

Our gluten-free dishes are made without gluten ingredients in the same kitchen as our pasta, pizza and pastries. If you have celiac disease or a serious allergy, please tell us when you order.

Vegan and vegetarian

Vegan dishes (marked V): crispy polenta, grilled asparagus, grilled zucchini and grilled portobello mushrooms, all gluten-free too. Vegetarian (marked Veg): the baked gnocchi, which is also gluten-free.

Our menus are seasonal, so dishes change; the GF, V and Veg marks on each menu are always the current ones. See the Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menus, or order online at orders.lumina-cafe.com.
